A Step Into Elegance: Calzoleria Toscana Opens in Florence

On January 15, during the recently concluded Pitti Uomo 107, Calzoleria Toscana marked a new chapter in its legacy with the grand opening of its flagship store in the heart of Florence, at Via della Vigna Nuova 24/R. This exclusive event, hosted as a cocktail party for select guests, transformed the evening into a celebration of refined craftsmanship and Tuscan allure.

An Exclusive Opening During Pitti Uomo 107

The two-level, 100-square-meter store is a seamless blend of old-world charm and modern sophistication. Featuring antique-inspired furniture, plush poufs, Turkish rugs, and resin flooring, the ambiance evokes the feel of a gentleman’s club with a distinctly Tuscan edge. The pièce de résistance? A grand crystal chandelier illuminating the French-inspired wallpaper, adding timeless elegance to the space.

Craftsmanship Meets Sustainability

Calzoleria Toscana’s rich history dates back to 1958 when master shoemaker Luciano Bettaccini founded the brand. Over the decades, it has grown from a small family workshop to a renowned name in Italian footwear, combining artisanal techniques with a contemporary edge.

One of the brand’s hallmarks is its unique tinto in capo technique. This process involves submerging shoes in natural pigments for eight hours before allowing them to rest for two days, resulting in rich, nuanced colors. The use of natural dyes not only ensures a sustainable approach but also adds a personal touch to each pair, offering both style and comfort that stand the test of time.

A Modern Collection Rooted in Tradition

The brand’s dual lines—Calzoleria Toscana and Rosso Fiorentino—cater to diverse tastes. From timeless classics to trend-driven sneakers, the collection offers something for every discerning client. While the opening event showcased exclusive designs, it also emphasized the importance of innovation within tradition—a balance Calzoleria Toscana has perfected.

As Florence bids farewell to Pitti Uomo 107, the opening of this flagship store stands as a reminder of the enduring allure of Italian craftsmanship, blending heritage with a forward-thinking approach.
